Artist Statement
I am often on the move and I also spend a lot of time motionless. However, what happens in my perception is the same: I experience change from the inside, in my soul, in my heart. The “landscape” is the subject that in everything represents me: in its change, in its richness of shapes and colors, and in changing as the seasons change. My pictorial work fully embraces and enters into this subject: “the inner landscape,” the one perhaps most difficult to explore. It takes over the support of the painting and becomes a continuous search and discovery of archaic, anthropomorphic forms that coexist in my painting in an indefinite and infinite landscape.
