Artist Statement
The cylinder was one of the first means that man used to narrate: engraved bones that were read by rotating them on themselves; seals that imprinted, the development of an anecdote, on wax or clay.
But the tube adds an element, the void that allows it to pass through, that channels and directs.
Tube thus speak to us of a multi-dimension by its crossing and their rotation; two ways of flowing. Allowing us to read a story, time, in the change of their trace. “The tube: two ways of being time” on the other hand, the pipes require connections, insertions and changes of direction which over time are themselves changed in a superposition of meetings, clashes and syntheses.
