Artist Statement
In this series, each drawing is a many-leveled study of a city. The “constructions” are psychic frameworks that attach themselves to the material reality of place, locale. Each city is defined by a particular “feeling”, which is constructed from subjective emotion, specific experience, interpreted history and observed events.
